Welcome to the fifth season of “All American,” a show that follows the lives of four freshmen at a prestigious high school in California. This season, we follow the characters as they go through their high school years and experience all the challenges and adventures that come with being young and in college.
What is All American?
All American is a television series that follows the everyday lives of high school students across the country. The show airs on MTV and follows the various challenges, tribulations and triumphs teenagers face during their time at high school. Season one of All American aired in 2016 and focused on the high school years. The series was well-received by viewers and critics alike, and has since been renewed for a second season.
Season 5
Season 5 of All American begins with the seniors at East High School and ends with the juniors at West High School. Throughout the season, the students will experience different life stages such as teenage years, college years, and adulthood.
Some of the highlights of this season include: a trip to Europe which expands their knowledge about different cultures, a music festival where they can see some of their favorite bands live in person for the first time, and finally, their final year of high school.
Plot synopsis
In the all-new season of “The High School Years,” airing Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC, Nick (Kavan Smith) is a senior, ready to take on the world. He’s got a great group of friends and he’s determined to make the most of his final year. But when tragedy strikes, Nick finds himself grappling with the biggest question of his life: What’s really important? Along the way, he’ll discover what it takes to be an all-American teenager – and that sometimes the toughest battles are fought inside ourselves.
Nick begins the season dealing with the aftermath of his friend’s death. He grapples with whether or not he should go to college and decides that it isn’t what his friend would have wanted for him. His friends help him through this tough time and support him in making his decision.
Meanwhile, Nick’s relationship with Hailey (Madelaine Petsch) continues to grow stronger as they both navigate their first year of high school together. They face challenges such as balancing dating with their busy social lives and Hailey’s continued struggle with her weight. But despite these challenges, they remain strong friends and continue to support each other throughout everything.

The all-American season, “The High School Years,” is a new 8-episode series that takes us into the lives of four high school students as they navigate their way through their last years of high school. We follow them as they make new friends, fall in love, and try to figure out what they want to do with their lives.
The series stars Grant Gustin (Arrow, The Flash) as Barry Allen/Flash, Jesse L. Martin (Breaking Bad) as Joe West/Sheriff of Central City, Danielle Panabaker (Nashville) as Caitlin Snow/The Weather Witch, and Carlos Valdes (Suits) as Cisco Ramon/Vibe.
Cast
“The cast of “All American” reunited for a special screening of the show’s final season at the Paley Center for Media in New York City on Tuesday, December 5. The event was host by series creator and executive producer Tom Sizemore and featured an appearance by stars Zachary Quinto (Kenny Miller), Katherine Heigl (Heather Miller), and Cole Sprouse (Luke Miller).
“It was great to see everyone again,” said Katherine Heigl of her reunion with co-stars Zachary Quinto and Cole Sprouse. “We had such a great time making the show, and we’re so proud of it.”
Zachary Quinto expressed his excitement to have his final performance as Kenny Miller onscreen aired live. “It was amazing to be able to film all these episodes over the last year and have them come together like that,” he said. “I’m so grateful to everyone who made it happen.”
Cole Sprouse added, “I feel really lucky that I got to work with those guys for such a long time. It’s sad that it’s coming to an end, but I’m really excited about what’s next for me.”
The final season of “All American” will air on Fox beginning January 11th.”
