Sony released the second trailer for the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which provides a closer look at the various Spider-People who will appear in the film. The trailer starts with Miles Morales encountering The Spot, a character who travels through the multiverse, and goes on to show Gwen Stacy introducing Miles to a group of Spider-People in a building reminiscent of the Citadel of Ricks from Rick and Morty.
The trailer also features a longer glimpse of Oscar Isaac’s character, Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099, who challenges Miles’ moral compass. In addition, the trailer of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse includes the iconic Spider-Man pointing meme, as there are many Spider-People from different universes in the film.
Returning voice cast members from the first film include Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Luna Lauren Velez as Rio Morales, and Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis. The film also introduces new voice cast members, including Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099, and Daniel Kaluuya as Hobart “Hobie” Brown/Spider-Punk. The movie is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson, and Kemp Powers, with Lord and Miller writing the script alongside Dave Callaham. The producers of the film are Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, and Christina Steinberg, while the executive producers are Peter Ramsey, Bob Persichetti, Aditya Sood, Rodney Rothman, Rebecca Karch, and Brian Bendis.
