The FNAF Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has finally given a release date and it’s coming very soon. The film is based on the popular horror game that gained massive popularity in the 2010s, particularly due to Let’s Play videos on YouTube. The game puts you in the shoes of a security guard in a restaurant similar to Chuck E. Cheese, where you must monitor cameras to ensure that nothing strange happens at night. However, the animatronic characters in the building turn out to be alive and evil. The game spawned numerous sequels, and fans have been eagerly awaiting a movie adaptation.
Earlier this year, the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie went into production and after several months of filming, it has now wrapped. Producer Jason Blum has confirmed that the movie will released in theaters and on Peacock on Friday, October 27th, 2023. A new screenshot was also release to celebrate the announcement. The movie will follow the same premise as the first game, with a security guard trying to survive the night at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Blumhouse has a tradition of releasing its big movies in October and also doing a day-and-date streaming release on Peacock, and it seems that Five Nights at Freddy’s will follow this pattern.
There is no word yet on when the first trailer for the movie will be released, but with the release date fast approaching, it shouldn’t be too far off. The movie will star actors such as Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard, and will also be co-written by series creator Scott Hawthorn. The film will feature animatronics from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, which should add to its authenticity.
